Handcrafted Cedar Log Furniture Made in Ontario

The North Bay Cut-Out Back Chair is made from white cedar, a wood well suited to rustic and log furniture because of its natural character, attractive grain and warm appearance. The rounded log construction gives the chair the substantial look expected from traditional cottage and cabin furniture.

Natural knots, grain patterns and variations in the cedar make every chair slightly different. Rather than being imperfections, these characteristics are part of what gives genuine solid wood log furniture its individual character.

Made for Cottages, Cabins and Rustic Homes

Although the North Bay Cut-Out Back Chair is a natural fit for a cottage or log cabin, its rustic design can also add warmth and personality to a farmhouse, country home, lodge or casual dining room.

Pair it with one of our North Bay log dining tables or mix it with other solid wood pieces to create a dining area that feels welcoming, comfortable and distinctly Canadian.

The North Bay Cut-Out Back Cedar Log Dining Chair features a white cedar log frame with a solid pine chair back. The combination provides the natural knots, grain and rustic character that make each handcrafted chair distinctive.

What is the cut-out chair back made from?

The decorative cut-out back is crafted from solid pine, while the log chair frame is made from white cedar. The pine back provides a solid surface for the detailed wildlife and nature-inspired cut-out designs.

Is this cedar log dining chair available with or without arms?

Yes. Choose a side chair without arms or an arm chair with arms. This allows you to use side chairs along the length of your dining table and matching arm chairs at each end.

What cut-out back designs are available?

Choose from five nature-inspired designs: fish, bear, moose, tree or goose. The designs are cut into the solid pine chair back, adding distinctive cottage and Canadian wilderness character to each chair.

Where is the North Bay cedar log dining chair made?

The North Bay Cut-Out Back Cedar Log Dining Chair is handcrafted in Ontario, Canada. Its combination of white cedar log construction and a solid pine cut-out back creates a distinctive alternative to mass-produced dining furniture.

Is this chair suitable for a cottage or log cabin?

Yes. The white cedar frame, solid pine back and nature-inspired cut-outs make this chair especially well suited to cottages, cabins, lodges and rustic homes. It can also add a relaxed Canadian cottage feel to a country or farmhouse dining room.

Can I order matching arm chairs and side chairs?

Yes. Both styles share the same North Bay Cut-Out Back design. You can order side chairs without arms and matching arm chairs with arms to create a coordinated rustic dining set.

Will every chair look exactly the same?

No. White cedar and pine are natural solid woods, so variations in knots, grain and colour are expected. These natural characteristics help give each handcrafted chair its individual rustic character.

What type of table pairs well with these chairs?

These chairs pair particularly well with cedar log dining tables, rustic solid wood tables and cottage-style dining tables. Their substantial log construction makes them a natural choice for cottage, cabin and lodge dining spaces.

Why choose an Ontario-made cedar log dining chair?

An Ontario-made cedar log dining chair combines local craftsmanship with the warmth and character of real wood. The North Bay Cut-Out Back Chair adds another distinctive feature—a solid pine back available with your choice of fish, bear, moose, tree or goose cut-out.
