What is the North Bay Log Saddle Seat Stool made from?

The North Bay Log Saddle Seat Stool is crafted from cedar, including the contoured saddle-style seat and rustic log base. Natural grain, knots and variations in the cedar give each stool its own distinctive character.

What heights are available?

This cedar log stool is available in two heights:

24-inch height – suitable for most standard kitchen counters and islands

30-inch height – designed for most bar-height counters and home bars

Always measure your counter or bar before ordering to ensure you choose the most comfortable height for your space.

Should I choose a 24-inch or 30-inch stool?

A 24-inch counter-height stool is generally the better choice for a standard kitchen counter or island, while the 30-inch bar-height stool is intended for taller bar-height surfaces. Ideally, you should have comfortable space between the stool seat and the underside of your counter.

What is a saddle seat?

A saddle seat has a gently contoured shape rather than a completely flat surface. The shaped seat helps create a more comfortable sitting position while maintaining the simple, backless design that makes a saddle stool easy to place around a kitchen island or bar.

Is the saddle seat made from cedar too?

Yes. The contoured saddle seat is made from cedar, complementing the cedar log construction of the stool and giving the entire piece a consistent rustic appearance.

Where can I use a cedar log saddle seat stool?

The North Bay Cedar Log Saddle Seat Stool is well suited to kitchen islands, counters, breakfast bars and home bars. Its natural log styling also makes it an excellent choice for cottages, cabins, log homes and rustic or country-inspired interiors.

Is the North Bay Log Saddle Seat Stool made in Ontario?

Yes. This stool is Mennonite-made in Ontario, combining traditional woodworking craftsmanship with the natural beauty and character of real cedar.

Can I choose the finish for my cedar stool?

Available finish options allow you to coordinate your North Bay stool with your existing décor or other pieces from the North Bay log furniture collection. Because cedar is a natural material, variations in grain, knots and appearance are expected and are part of the character of each piece.

Can these stools be paired with other North Bay log furniture?

Yes. The North Bay Log Saddle Seat Stool coordinates naturally with other pieces in the North Bay log furniture collection, making it easy to carry the rustic cedar look throughout a kitchen, dining area, cottage or recreational space.
