What is the North Bay Mission Back Cedar Bar Stool made from?

The North Bay Mission Back Cedar Bar Stool is crafted from cedar throughout, including the seat, back and frame. The natural grain, knots and variations in the wood give each stool its own distinctive rustic character.

What is a Mission Back bar stool?

A Mission Back stool features a traditional slatted back design that provides back support while creating a classic, timeless appearance. On the North Bay stool, the Mission-style back is combined with solid cedar construction for a warm, rustic look well suited to kitchens, cottages and log homes.

What heights are available?

The North Bay Mission Back Cedar Bar Stool is available in two seat heights:

24-inch counter height – ideal for most kitchen counters and islands

30-inch bar height – designed for taller bars and bar-height counters

We recommend measuring the height of your counter or bar before ordering to determine which size will provide the most comfortable seating.

Can I order the Mission Back stool with a swivel seat?

Yes. This stool is available with either a fixed or swivel seat. Both versions feature the same Mission-style back and solid cedar construction, allowing you to choose the seating style that best suits your space.

Should I choose a fixed or swivel bar stool?

A fixed stool offers traditional stationary seating and is a great choice for a simple, classic arrangement. A swivel bar stool allows the seat to turn, making it easier to get in and out or turn toward a kitchen, dining area or conversation space. The best choice depends on how you plan to use your stools.

Is a 24-inch or 30-inch stool right for my counter?

For most standard kitchen counters and islands, a 24-inch counter stool is generally the appropriate choice. A 30-inch bar stool is intended for taller bar-height surfaces. Measuring from the floor to the underside of your counter is the best way to determine which height will work in your space.

Is the North Bay Mission Back Cedar Bar Stool made in Ontario?

Yes. The North Bay Mission Back Cedar Bar Stool is Mennonite-made in Ontario from solid cedar, combining traditional woodworking craftsmanship with the natural character of real wood.

Can I choose the finish?

Yes. Available finish options allow you to coordinate your cedar stools with your kitchen, home, cottage or other North Bay log furniture. Because cedar is a natural material, variations in grain, knots and appearance are expected and help make every piece unique.
