What makes the Waterloo different from an extension dining table?

The Waterloo features a fixed solid wood top with no extension leaves or opening mechanisms. It's a great choice if you already know the table size you need and prefer a simple, uninterrupted tabletop.

What wood species are available?

Choose from wormy maple or oak. Wormy maple features distinctive mineral streaks, colour variations and natural markings, while oak has a more pronounced grain traditionally associated with solid wood furniture.

What sizes are available?

The Waterloo is available in 60", 72", 84" and 96" lengths, giving you options for both everyday family dining and larger gathering spaces.

How many people can each size seat?

Chair width and placement will affect the final capacity, but a useful guideline is:

60" – approximately 6 people
72" – approximately 6–8 people
84" – approximately 8 people
96" – approximately 8–10 people

Wider chairs and armchairs require more space, while narrower chairs may allow additional seating when needed.

How much room should I leave around the table?

Allow approximately 36 inches between the table and walls or surrounding furniture so chairs can be pulled out comfortably. If the area behind the chairs is also a walkway, 42–48 inches provides more room for movement.

Can I choose the stain colour?

Yes. The Waterloo is available in a wide selection of stain colours, allowing you to coordinate the table with your dining chairs, flooring, cabinetry or existing furniture.

What dining chairs work well with the Waterloo?

The Waterloo pairs well with many solid wood dining chairs, including Mission, farmhouse, Shaker and other traditional styles. Choose matching wood and stain for a coordinated dining set or introduce a contrasting chair for a more individual look.

Where is the Waterloo Harvest Table made?

The Waterloo Harvest Table is made in Ontario, Canada, by experienced Mennonite furniture makers using genuine solid wood. It offers a Canadian-made choice for customers looking for a fixed-top dining table built for everyday family use.
