Bring the warmth and character of solid wood into your dining room with the Windsor H-Base Solid Wood Dining Table. Mennonite-crafted in Ontario from solid wormy maple, the Windsor features a substantial 1¾-inch-thick tabletop and a distinctive H-style base that gives the table a strong, timeless presence.

One of the Windsor's defining features is the choice between a smooth or rough-sawn tabletop. This allows you to enjoy the same solid wood table design while choosing the surface style that best suits your home.

Choose a Smooth or Rough-Sawn Tabletop

Choose the smooth top for a more refined appearance that allows the natural grain and markings of the wormy maple to take centre stage. This option works beautifully in traditional, transitional and modern farmhouse dining spaces.

For greater rustic character, choose the rough-sawn or sawmarked top. Visible saw marks and natural-looking surface texture give the table the character associated with traditional rough-sawn furniture, making it especially well suited to farmhouse, country, cottage and rustic interiors.

Whichever surface you choose, the natural characteristics of wormy maple ensure that every Windsor has its own individual appearance. Grain patterns, mineral streaks and variations in the wood are part of the beauty of genuine solid wood and mean that no two tables will look exactly alike.

The Windsor's substantial H-base complements the thick tabletop while creating a strong visual foundation for the table. Choose from our available stain and finish options to further personalize the wood and coordinate your Windsor with your dining chairs and surrounding décor.

Proudly Mennonite-crafted in Ontario, the Windsor is made from solid wood rather than veneers or imitation wood products. Its combination of a substantial maple top, distinctive H-base and your choice of smooth or rough-sawn surface makes it a versatile dining table designed for everyday family life and memorable gatherings.

For homeowners searching for a solid wood H-base dining table, the Windsor offers the natural beauty of wormy maple, Ontario craftsmanship and the flexibility to choose between a refined smooth top or the distinctive character of a rustic rough-sawn finish.

What is the Windsor H-Base Dining Table made from?

The Windsor is crafted from solid wormy maple, a hardwood known for its distinctive grain patterns, mineral streaks and natural variations. These characteristics give every Windsor Dining Table its own individual solid wood appearance.

Can I order the Windsor with either a smooth or rough-sawn top?

Yes. The Windsor is available with your choice of a smooth or rough-sawn tabletop. Both options use solid wood, allowing you to choose between a more refined surface or a rustic sawcut appearance.

What is the difference between a smooth and rough-sawn dining table?

A smooth tabletop has a more refined surface that highlights the natural grain and colour of the wood. A rough-sawn or sawcut tabletop intentionally displays saw marks and additional texture, creating the rustic character commonly associated with farmhouse and country-style furniture.

What does rough-sawn or sawcut furniture mean?

Rough-sawn or sawcut furniture is designed to preserve visible saw marks and texture in the wood rather than creating a completely smooth appearance. These details are intentional and give the Windsor Rough-Sawn Dining Table its distinctive handcrafted, rustic character.

How thick is the Windsor Dining Table top?

The Windsor features a substantial 1¾-inch-thick solid wood tabletop. The thicker top gives the table a strong visual presence and complements its distinctive H-style base.

What is an H-base dining table?

An H-base uses substantial supports connected through the centre of the table, creating the recognizable H-shaped profile. On the Windsor, this base adds visual weight and character that works especially well with the thick solid maple tabletop.

Which Windsor tabletop is best for a farmhouse or rustic dining room?

Both versions can complement farmhouse décor, but the rough-sawn option provides additional rustic character through its visible saw marks and textured appearance. The smooth version is a good choice when you want the warmth of solid wormy maple with a more refined surface.

Can I choose the stain and finish for my Windsor Dining Table?

Yes. The Windsor is available in a selection of stain and finish options, allowing you to personalize the wormy maple and coordinate your table with your dining chairs and surrounding décor.

Will every Windsor wormy maple table look exactly the same?

No. Genuine wormy maple naturally varies in grain, mineral streaks, markings and colour. These variations are part of the character of solid wood and help make each Windsor Dining Table unique.

Where is the Windsor H-Base Dining Table made?

The Windsor is Mennonite-crafted in Ontario from solid wormy maple. It combines traditional solid wood furniture craftsmanship with a substantial H-base and your choice of a smooth or rustic rough-sawn tabletop.
