While everything should go right, we all know life isn't always like that, and building solid wood furniture isn't either. Faith isn’t about having all the answers tied up in a neat bow. It’s not about pretending we’re never confused, never skeptical, or never struggling to believe. In fact, real faith makes space for real questions—especially the hard ones. It dares to press in, wrestle through, and refuse the fake gloss of easy answers.
We live in a world filled with sound bites, slogans, and surface-level solutions. Sometimes, even our churches can feel more like furniture showrooms—polished, curated, and staged just right—rather than places where honest, sometimes messy truth is welcomed. But just like cheaply-made furniture that looks good but collapses under pressure, shallow faith can’t hold the weight of real life.
The good news? Jesus never shied away from the hard questions.
People asked Him about suffering, about politics, about morality, about eternity. He never deflected, never gave half-truths to smooth things over. He was direct, clear, and radically compassionate. Whether talking to a confused religious leader in the middle of the night or a woman with a complicated past at a well, He didn’t avoid the uncomfortable. He leaned in.
And when Thomas voiced his doubt, unsure of where Jesus was going or how to follow, Jesus responded with these simple, profound words:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."— John 14:6 (NIV)
He didn’t give a map. He gave Himself.
The truth of Jesus isn’t some theological veneer we tack onto life to make it look good. It’s the solid, crafted foundation underneath everything—strong enough to handle storms, questions, and even our doubts. Biblical truth is never afraid of scrutiny, and grace-filled honesty is not weakness; it’s what gives faith its integrity.
