Choose Your Size – Single, Double, Queen or King
The Thames Solid Wood Slat Bed is offered in four popular mattress sizes, allowing you to select the right bed for your bedroom and sleeping needs.
Single Solid Wood Slat Bed
The single Thames Bed is ideal for children's bedrooms, smaller guest rooms, cottages, and spaces where maximizing floor space is important. Its classic hardwood design offers an attractive alternative to lightweight, mass-produced bedroom furniture.
Double Solid Wood Slat Bed
The double Thames Bed provides a practical option for guest bedrooms, teenagers, smaller primary bedrooms, and cottage sleeping areas. It offers additional sleeping width while maintaining a more compact footprint than a queen or king bed.
Queen Solid Wood Slat Bed
The queen Thames Bed is an excellent choice for many primary bedrooms and guest suites. It provides comfortable sleeping space while showcasing the natural beauty of solid wormy maple and traditional Mennonite craftsmanship.
King Solid Wood Slat Bed
For homeowners seeking a larger sleeping surface, the king Thames Bed combines generous mattress space with the attractive appearance of genuine hardwood furniture. It makes a beautiful centrepiece for a spacious primary bedroom.
Solid Wormy Maple – Natural Beauty in Every Bed
The Thames Slat Bed is crafted from solid wormy maple, also known as Ambrosia Maple.
This distinctive Canadian hardwood is admired for its natural grain patterns, contrasting colour variations, and characteristic dark streaks.
Because every piece of solid wood has its own unique grain and markings, no two Thames beds will look exactly alike.
Unlike furniture made primarily from particleboard, MDF, or artificial wood-look materials, the Thames Bed showcases the beauty and character of genuine hardwood.
Solid maple is a popular choice for bedroom furniture because of its strength, attractive appearance, and ability to complement a wide variety of interior decorating styles.
Classic Wooden Slat Design for Traditional and Farmhouse Bedrooms
The Thames Bed features a timeless slat-style design that brings warmth and character to your bedroom.
Its clean wooden lines create an attractive appearance without excessive ornamentation, allowing the natural beauty of wormy maple to remain a focal point.
This versatile design complements several popular bedroom styles:
Farmhouse bedrooms: Pair with warm wood tones, neutral bedding, and traditional furniture.
Rustic country homes: Highlight the natural character of wormy maple hardwood.
Traditional bedrooms: Create a timeless look with coordinating wooden dressers and nightstands.
Cottage bedrooms: Add authentic Canadian-made hardwood furniture.
Transitional interiors: Combine classic wooden furniture with modern bedding and accessories.
Custom Stain Options to Complement Your Bedroom
The Thames Solid Wood Slat Bed is available with stain options that allow you to coordinate your new bed with your existing bedroom furniture.
Whether you prefer a lighter natural appearance that highlights the character of wormy maple or a richer stain that creates a warmer traditional look, your selected finish can help personalize the appearance of your bedroom.
Natural wood grain and colour variations will remain visible and contribute to the unique character of each handcrafted bed.
