Some of the best moments in life happen around a table. It’s where the family gathers after a long day. It’s where Sunday dinner is served, birthdays are celebrated, Thanksgiving meals seem to stretch well into the afternoon, and friends stay for “just one more cup of coffee.” That is what we love about the Waterloo Harvest Table from Cinnamon Cabin Co. Built from solid wood, it is made for more than simply filling a dining room. It is made for gathering people together.

If you have been shopping for solid wood furniture in Ontario, you have probably come across the term Mennonite furniture. You may have seen beautiful solid wood dining tables, beds, chairs and bedroom sets and wondered what actually makes Mennonite-made furniture different. Is it simply a style of furniture? Is it the way it is built? Is it really worth buying? At Cinnamon Cabin Co, we believe the difference goes much deeper than appearance.

In today’s uncertain political and economic climate, where global supply chains shift quickly and imported goods fluctuate in both price and quality, many Ontario homeowners are rethinking where their furniture comes from. More than ever, there’s a renewed appreciation for locally crafted, Ontario-made wood furniture—pieces built with integrity, stability, and purpose.
